Commissions

Below are a few things you may wish to know about the commission process.
What you might want to know about the commission process:
-
Step 1. Choosing a reference photo
A good reference photo for a commissioned piece should be high quality, well-lit, and clear.
For a pet portrait, try to capture the pet’s unique features and personality. Natural lighting, preferably outdoors or near a window, helps avoid harsh shadows and enhances details. The photo should be taken at the pet’s eye level to create a natural and engaging perspective. A sharp, high-resolution image is essential to capture fine details like fur texture and eye expression. Avoid filters or extreme angles that distort proportions. Multiple photos from different angles can be helpful, but the main reference should showcase the pet in a pose that reflects its character. -
Step 2. Choosing size & material
Materials offered for commissions are graphite pencil, archival fineliner pen, pastel or acrylic paint.
These are all drawn on an appropriate paper, pastelmat, or canvas, with a size choice of 8"X10", A4 or A3. -

Shipping costs are calculated along with the portrait price. If you choose to have a painting framed, please note that framing may increase shipping costs due to the added weight.
-
